USA Today makes tender review of the wedding season and most of all, the locations where you have good chance to get a proposal. I have never had long-lasting romance with somebody met at the airport or onboard, but luckily, others do!

For the aviation-themed wedding, the couple (Larissa ter Veer and Dirk) created wedding invitations resembling boarding passes and went to a local wine store to blend their own “Plane Crazy Pinot.” Between the ceremony and the reception the newlyweds took a thirty-minute ride in the groom’s Maule single-engine airplane and, at the end of the event, guests launched paper airplanes instead of throwing birdseed.
