October-Fest takes place in Munich, Germany. But do not let the name mislead you: this year it will be officially opened on September 22 and will end on October 7. So now is the time to consider the option for a short beer trip to Europe.

If you love beer, surely you will love October Fest because it’s like an amusement park for beer, breweries, and hot German girls in Bavarian outfits.

The park is set up with a whole bunch of tents that look like large warehouses. Thousands of people come to the fest and if you don’t get to a tent before 9 am you will not get into it no matter how much you want to.

Inside the tents are many wooden tables with Bavarian girls bringing pints of beer. A pint of beer in October Fest can costs anywhere from 7 to 9 euros. Compare this to the regular price for a pint anywhere else in Germany, which is from 3 to 4 euros, and you will be shocked.

Beer is served in a huge glass that you can barely lift. Along with the beer come German sausages, bratwurst and all the kind of pork filled meats that you can imagine.

October Fest has Roller-Costers, amusement rides and too many Germans in Bavarian outfits. There are also many foreigners there, so you will not feel alone.
