Here’s Amsterdam’s info notes on how to operate with the machines:

Step 1: Enter the four-digit number on the upper key pad corresponding to your destination listed on the left side of the machine. The code for central station is 1000. The code going to Schiphol is 1117.

There are places where we enjoy going back again and again and one of them is Amsterdam.

Lessno’s blog featured the city an year ago and yes, we returned there to see what changes in the last months. The good news is that the city is the same with the only exception of new renovated Central Train Station.

The video from the previous post reminded me of my stay in EastSide hostel in Budapest. It lasted exactly 20 minutes and was one of the most miserable hostel experiences ever.

There were three of us that in a rainy day get off the boat in Budapest and after not-so-healthy late lunch in Subway headed to the hostel. We had our reservations made through HostelWorld for about 3 weeks or so and we were pretty confident that we won’t have any problems with the reservations because in addition HostelWorld charged us some money for the reservation. Quite naiive!
