Mexico’s International Airport is located some 18 kilometers from Mexico City. Quite surprisingly the airport does not have direct shuttle from the airport to the city. Relax, there are still a few other ways to reach the city.

Remember one thing for sure: Do not accept offers from taxi rides when you walk out of the airport. Never do this. Instead ask an official at the tourist information desk where to find the taxis or eventually ask them to call for one for you. Radio taxis are a little bit more expensive but they are safer and won’t use bootleg to charge you more. Between 10 pm and 5 am the price is usually 20% higher (night rate). Tipping is up to you and the accepted is from 5 to 20 pesos.
