AP today made my day with a great travel news. Hartsdale Pet Cemetery made its way to travel history and entered Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel 2009. There the sight shares fame with architectural and historical landmarks such as the Taj Mahal and the Great Pyramids.

A spokeswoman for the travel guide publisher says the book tries to include “a variety of travel experiences.” Indeed, finally something exciting and off the beaten path.

1. I’m not sure if this is true. Or not true at all.
2. This could be amazing new advertizing technique for
a) IKEA
b) Mark Malkoff (filmmaker)

3. Here is the story:
Mark’s New york apartment was fumigated and he had no place to live in for a week or so. He decided that he won’t pay for a hotel so, he went to IKEA store in New Jersey and said: “Hello, let me live here for some time” and the manager said: “No problem, it’d be fun”, so that’s how Mark moved in and now he shares the store with other visitors. Employees are taking this with understanding and patience and Mark enjoys their hospitality (and shares their toilet&bathroom and on his turn shares his pizza). Everything seems so easy and fun.
